The bailout plan has finally been cleared. The US Federal Government will pump in $ 700 billion to ease the credit strung economy. From amongst the many available to lead the recovery plan, the choice of Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Paulson came as a surpise to many. It was one of his old Goldman Sachs executives- a former Vice President called Neel T. Kashkari, 35, who completed his MBA from Wharton 6 years ago. Kashkari is now Asst. Secretary in the Treasury Department. For many, like me, who don’t know much about the man and his background, this article in the New York Times gives perspective on his life and career.
