Remember Vivek Wadhwa? He was one of the early entrepreneurs of Indian origin to make a name for himself in the United States. Today he is acknowledged as one of the most distinguished researchers in the subject of entrepreneurship.

Many have asked what makes people take to being an entrepreneur and what makes them successful in that calling. Is it something in their DNA? Is it a taste they have acquired over time? Or, is it something that people take to only because they don’t like the constricted environment of big business?

He writes of his experience and what makes for a successful entrepreneur in a recent issue of the Wall Street Journal. He speaks of their research survey which covered 549 successful entrepreneurs.

If you want to become an entrepreneur some day or want to know how to succeed as one, you will find this to be of interest just as I did. You might also like to follow Mr. Wadhwa’s tweets.
