By a series of co-incidences, it has been brought home to me over the last few days that we simply must be grateful for what we have! Many times when we crib about something, even fairly trivial issues, we forget that things could be far worse. It is natural perhaps that we think the worst won’t happen to us but then we are kidding ourselves, aren’t we? No one can say what will happen ….and when.
A friend of mine recently posted in her Facebook Page that she had much to be grateful for. I really appreciated her standing back and acknowledging this important fact which we often forget in our thirst for more of everything. We want more money, more time, more friends, more recognition…you name it, the list is endless.
This morning I was thrilled to see that an article by my friend Ingrid Ricks has found a place in Salon. I don’t want to spoil her story by telling you about it. You must read it for yourself here. Truly, adversity brings out the best in us.
It’s equally true that we have so much to be grateful for . Be grateful for what you have.
What a nice post. Thank yo so much for this, Prem!
Best,
Ingrid
