Came across this interesting article in the New York Times where Tara Parker-Pope writes about Relationship deal breakers. I liked the concept of “must haves” and “can’t stands”. They make so much sense. If you know what you want and likewise what you don’t, you have a far better chance of making a successful relationship.
The dating site eHarmony analysed the responses from some 720,000 respondents to identify the top 10 relationship deal breakers for men and women. It looks like both men and women had common issues in the top 10. They looked for people with a sense of humour, who are affectionate and kind, loyal and have good communication. There were differences in the ranking of some aspects between men and women.
We may not quite call them “must haves” and ” can’t stands” but we use a similar process in hiring people, don’t we?
