I expect you will agree with me that there is great joy for a mentor to see those who he has guided achieve great success in their careers. There is a special relationship between the mentor and his wards. Often these relationships last long after the mentoring is formally over.

It was nice to read how Richard C. Levin, President of Yale University has used mentoring to develop his colleagues, many of whom have taken up positions of high responsibility in other leading institutions.
