This post is however about another interesting specimen called the corporate psychopath.

These findings shouldn’t really surprise anyone. Findings presented at the American Heart Association meeting at Chicago recently indicated that women who reported high job strain faced a 40 % increase in cardiovascular disease and a 88 % increase in heart disease. As Dr. Michelle A. Albert of the Harvard Medical School puts it ” You can’t get rid of stress but you can manage it”.

MTV Youth Icon Awards

I had written about Kaushalendra sometime in 2008 when this IIM-Ahmedabad grad. first hit the headlines. About how he was following his dreams. As you look around you, it ‘s amazing how people react differently to the same stimulus. Most common of all see how people react in a huge traffic jam. There are some who have a very sedate nature and never seem to lose their cool. Others look ready to tear their hair apart. They tend to fly off the handle even for minor irritants. Recent developments in technology have given us a spate of new products and services which together constitute what’s being known as a smart home. Likewise, you can program the kind of music you like to play at certain times of the day, the curtains to be drawn at a particular time and even get your coffee heated at regular times. Smart homes are designed by getting all your appliances to talk to each other.

Even calling them ultra-luxury might actually be a misnomer. The apartments that Prestige Developers is putting up in liquor baron Dr. Vijay Mallya’s property in the heart of Bangalore will cost you a cool $ 4 million .  Yes, you heard right.  The figure is 4 million USD.  Are there people around who can afford such apartments, you might ask. Sure,  there are. Otherwise, Dr. Mallya wouldn’t be knocking down his ancestral bungalow to have such a complex built in its place.
