This post is prompted by my wife’s birthday. How do you react to each passing year? Do you look ahead more than you look back? What does each passing year mean to you? “How are you celebrating your birthday?” is a common refrain from younger people. During childhood and early adulthood , celebrations are public displays of bonhomie and friendship. Parties are organised and birthdays celebrated with great enthusiasm. For children these days, having a big bash for a birthday party is a must. I have often wondered how much the parents must be budgeting for each birthday.
