It is now fashionable for CEOs to blog. Well known examples are Jonathan Schwartz of Sun Microsystems, Kevin Lynch of Adobe and Nandan Nilekani, Co-Chairman of Infosys.

Seth Godin the renowned marketing expert has this tip for CEO bloggers :-

“Be candid, urgent, timely, pithy, controversial, utilitarian. Short and sweet, folks. If you can’t be at least four of the six things listed above, please don’t blog.”

Excellent advice, Seth. What you say applies to all of us who blog.
