Some one asked me the other day how I had quit smoking. After smoking for more than 30 years it was very difficult for me to quit.

One perspective really set me thinking. A doctor told me” You have enjoyed this habit for so many years. Why don’t you quit before some damage is done?”

I realised that I had been fortunate. Why not, I thought, quit while I am still ahead of the game? As they say, it is easy to change when you have no choice. You change because there is no alternative. It is a good deal smarter to change before you have to.

If you are a smoker, think through and make up you mind. You will have no reason to regret your decision and many reasons for having made the right choice.

My stats. at QuitNet remind me that I have stayed quit for 1514 days, 19 hours, 22 minutes and 57 seconds. Skip the minutes and seconds…they are for effect….but you can’ t take away the fact that it has been more than 4 years and 1 month now.
