Building A Successful Career while maintaining a strong Work-Life Balance

“Do Unto Others..”

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you; says the Bible.

How often have you experienced this for yourself? As a new member of a team, you are friendly with the others, go out of the way to meet and get to know them and you find they in turn respond positively to you and soon make you truly feel part of the team. The converse is also true.

If as a new member of the team, you are aloof and keep to yourself, without making the effort to make friends, you will soon finds that no one responds positively to you either.

Much of human behaviour, upon which relationships are built, is based on reciprocity. If you trust me, you can be sure I will in turn trust you. If you go out of your way to make me feel threatened , I shall lose no time in doing the same.

Cricket lovers across the world were shocked at a recent incident involving two Indian players, playing for different teams in the Indian Premier League. Following an altercation, Harbhajan Singh is supposed to have slapped Sreesanth. This left the normally boisterous pace bowler in tears.

Sreesanth often come across as being immature. While it is perfectly acceptable to celebrate getting a wicket, he always overdoes the celebration.

While for a long time he has been taunting others, on this occasion, he got more than what he bargained for.

In the exuberance of youth and newly acquired wealth, he seems to have forgotten: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
